Coupons!

Food and groceries are getting more and more expensive making it difficult to eat healthy. One way to get more bang for your buck is to use coupons! Below is a collection of websites that you can view and print coupons to use at the grocery store.

Did you know you can use a manufacturer coupon AND a store coupon together on one item?
Print a manufacturer coupon from here: www.coupons.com or here: www.smartsource.com
then print a store coupon from here: Target Coupons or here:
K Mart present both at the register to receive an even deeper discount!

Red Plum offers a great variety of manufacturer coupons as well. You don't need to create an account, just click on the categories at the top of the screen.

Load exclusive savings onto your ShopRite Price Plus Card. After presenting your card at checkout, the discounts will automatically be deducted!

When shopping for a specific product, be sure to check out the manufacturers website for coupons. Here are a couple examples:
Kelloggs
Stonyfield Yogurt

Coupons aren't just for grocery shopping. Be sure to check for discounts at local restaurants, auto repair, medical and dental discounts, and much more!

Don't forget about Google when looking for coupons! Simply go to Google, type in the product you are looking for followed by 'printable coupon'. Many times you will be able to find a discount on the product you are looking for!

Do you like Dunkin' Donuts? Create an account on their website to receive a coupon for a free beverage and get discounts sent to your email!

Happy shopping and clipping ;)

Travel Day -> DE, PA, NJ & GA

Throughout 2012 we will be exploring each of the states in the order that they entered the union. This month we are learning about Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey & Georgia. After we finish with all 50 states were going to have some sort of contest to test what we have learned this year!

Let's get started...

The 1st four states to enter the union:
1. Delaware is a U.S. state located on the Atlantic Coast in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. It is bordered to the south and west by Maryland, and to the north by Pennsylvania. The state takes its name from Thomas West, 3rd Baron De La Warr, an English nobleman.
Admission into statehood: December 7, 1787
Abbreviation: DE
Nickname: "The First State"
Capital: Wilmington

2. Pennsylvania officially the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a U.S. state that is located in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, and the Great Lakes Region. The state borders Delaware and Maryland to the south, West Virginia to the southwest, Ohio to the west, New York and Ontario, Canada, to the north, and New Jersey to the east.
Admission into statehood: December 12, 1787
Abbreviation: PA
Capital: Harrisburg
Nickname: "The Keystone State" because of it's geographic location, which was central to the thirteen original colonies, it's importance to the overall colonial economy, and the fact that several important decisions were debated and important documents signed there during the early days of American independence.

Nickname: "The Garden State" was used by Abraham Browning, of Camden. "In his address Mr. Browning compared New Jersey to an immense barrel, filled wihttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifth good things to eat and open at both ends, with Pennsylvanians grabbing from one end and the New Yorkers from the other. He called New Jersey the Garden State, and the name has clung to it ever since."
