Easter Bonnet Contest and Egg Hunt

Sue out-did herself for the Easter party, we had such a BLAST! I love that the party was after Easter, feels like we extended the holiday!

We showed off our Easter Bonnets:

Enjoyed cupcakes, Peeps and strawberries:

Had fun with an outdoor egg hunt. Many eggs were filled with prize notes so we got to open presents too!

But the very best part was playing pass the bunny (or duck at some tables!):

The winners of our Easter Bonnet Contest were:

1st Place Jean Bruck

2nd Place Virginia Quinn

3rd Place Patricia Fogarty

Thank you Sue for the super-fun party ;)

Here is some inspiration for our digital camera day. All pictures were taken in my backyard with my little Canon A590. Enjoy!

Rose Kennedy is in the Pocono Record - AGAIN!

Shirley Futch resident Rose Kennedy appeared in a newspaper article in June of 1992.

The Pocono Record reprinted the photo on April 12, 2009 seeking information about it. Read about that here: Pocono Record April 12th

I asked Rose about the picture and she was able to bring me the original article from 1992! I sent the information to the Pocono Record this week and they printed it! Click here: Pocono Record April 19th

Pretty cool, huh? :)
