Resident Success Story -> Monika London

SUCCESS STORY

RESIDENT / PARTICIPANT NAME: ___Monika London_____

Reason(s) participant came to the Computer Training Center (what was his/her goal?)
Monika came in to the Computer Room to learn something new and to stay in touch with family and friends via email.


Accomplishment(s) of the participant:
Monika is now able to send/receive email on her own. She had to work hard to be able to remember the steps involved. She is also able to get to gaming websites on her own.


Obstacles he/she had to overcome:
Monika has a difficult time retaining new information however she has come along way and is able to do most things without any instruction.



What difference has participation in the Computer Training Center made for him/her?
Monika has so much more confidence in what she’s doing. She has been attending many of the classes offered and also coming in for one-on-one appointments to try and learn everything she can. She has also recently gotten her computer and has been practicing at home. I have seen huge improvements in Monika’s abilities and I think she is starting to see it too.
