Kindness to Animals

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily so they can meet their quota of getting FREE FOOD donated every day to abused and neglected animals.

It takes about 15 seconds to go to their site and click on the purple box 'fund food for animals for free.' This doesn't cost you a thing.

Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising..

Here's the web site!

Introducing...SAM & SUZY!

Today we had we our annual Ice Cream social! The ice cream and all the toppings were delicious but the real treat was the Same & Suzy duo! These two are the most entertaining duo we've seen in a long time! We had so much fun and hope they come back again soon!

Check out the slide show below to see a bit of this musical talent!

Thank you Sam and Suzy for such a wonderful afternoon, we very much enjoyed it! Thanks to Sue, also, for all the preparation and planning for this wonderful afternoon ;)

Children's Eye Foundation

"I Care for Eye Care" Calendar Contest

One of the most popular Children's Eye Foundation programs is the "I Care for Eye Care" calendar contest, where children around the world submit their vision of eye care.

I have told you all about my little buddy Luke and his new glasses. Luke is finally able to see the world around him for the 1st time in his short life - he's only 10 months old! Let's support Luke by casting your vote for him and his 'vision of eye care'.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE Luke's picture is labeled I can see! and is pictured below. YOU MUST GO TO THE LINK TO VOTE, CLICKING THE PICTURE BELOW DOES NOT SUBMIT YOUR VOTE.

Father's Day Brunch

We celebrated Father's Day with a fantastic brunch prepared by our favorite Social Services Coordinator -> Sue Gehris!

Actually, I helped cook as well - I know that's a huge surprise. The best part - the pancakes I made were actually edible! Can you guess which batch is mine and which is Sue's?

Here we are enjoying pancakes, sausage, cheese danish, coffee and OJ:

It wasn't just all about the food, we even played a game. I printed out pictures of famous women from the 40's & 50's and our 'fathers' had to guess who they were. They guessed every single one correctly! Here is an example:

That would be the infamous Rita Hayworth!

Here is a group shot of our 'Fathers':

Thanks for coming out and joining us we had such a wonderful time this morning and hope you did too!!
