April Success Story -> Dorothy O'Brien

SUCCESS STORY

DATE: __4/29/10__ SITE: _Shirley Futch Plaza_____BY: _Sharlotte Giberson_______

Resident: Dorothy O’Brien

Dot moved to Shirley Futch Plaza in October of 2009 and quickly became a frequent visitor to the Computer Learning Center. She had never used a computer before moving to Shirley Futch Plaza but was very enthusiastic about learning. I started by teaching Dot fun games on the Internet and then eventually got her involved in the Beginner’s Class, which she graduated from in March 2010.

Dot faithfully comes to the Computer Learning Center each day it is open. She prints grocery and restaurant coupons, reads the local newspaper online, plays games and helps others. Anytime anyone needs some assistance Dot is the first person to offer help. She also shuts down the computers at night or turns them on in the morning.

Dot is a welcome addition to Shirley Futch Plaza and the Computer Learning Center.
