Here comes Peter Cotton Tail!

Look what Chad found at back this morning, a baby cottontail rabbit!

Of course Sue and I had to love him and squeeze him:

Did you know?
Rabbits leave their nest when they are only 5 inches or so long. At this stage they will be sniffing and nibbling at the plants around them and carrying their ears erect. They may seem too small and fragile to survive without their mothers – but they are not.

So we took little Peter Cottontail back outside near where he was found. He is staying basically where we left him so we're hoping his Momma comes back soon!

I didn't see a picture of him. Would love to have seen one. I'll bet he was sweet. Glad he was returned to his Mommy. Hope he is safe too.
